The Duck Pond Taking a walk through the park and lingering at the duck pond inspired this palette. Oh, those gorgeous emerald greens and purples! I couldn’t wait to get home and paint. I taped off the page into sections and just played. The reveal when the tape is removed is always an unexpected joy.  I never really noticed the gorgeous colors of    pigeons. Beautiful. 

  Fragile  Kraft  paper primed with a rough application of gesso spread with an old credit card. Watercolor brushed on top of dried gesso and a sprinkle of coarse kosher salt while paint was still wet and pooling. Mountains, moon, reflection, and sprinkled stars done with acrylics.
