Inky Goodness Another workshop session; this time focused on inks - acrylic ink, alcohol inks, drawing/calligraphy ink, and India ink. What fun! First, I did some swatching to record properties and colors of the inks. Since I am already familiar with acrylic inks, I focused on the other ones . Next, just play. Calligraphy inks are not just for dip pens! Brushing them on and adding water creates some beautiful effects. Once dry, mark-making fun began. India ink and dad’s Speedball block printing ink was great fun to experiment with. Love the water-soluable properties . Mark-making heaven ! I do not have a wide selection of alcohol inks; the only colors in my stash are unexceptional and boring. I’m not much inclined to play with these yucky colors, but I do want to try them on Yupo paper.
